focus brain stimulation cap

This cap is designed to help you place sponge electrodes into the hair.
This kit includes the hat, a magnetic x/y cable, two silicone sponge holders, a saline bottle and some sponges.
It is compatible with the foc.us v2 and foc.us Go Flow Electrical Brain Stimulators.

It is important to note that the focus cap is very approximate. Although every effort is made to be as accurate as possible, individual caps may vary. The steps below will get the cap into roughly the right place.

Locate Cz

Most people can instinctively point to the top of their head. You should do this while looking straight ahead with your head level. Doing this will actually get you very close to Cz in most cases. If you want something a bit more accurate, you will need a measuring tape.
Measure the distance from your Inion bone to you Nasion. The Inion bone can be found by running your finger up the middle of the back of your neck until you encounter a slight depression followed by the protrusion of the Inion bone. Your Nasion is at the depression between your forehead and bridge of your nose.
Take the half way point between the Nasion and the Inion and that is the location of Cz.

Position the cap so that Cz is over the correct spot.

Try not stretch the cap. Place both hands over it and jig it forwards or backwards as necessary.

Ensure the cap is centred and level

Pull the cap down towards your eyebrows and align the midpoint between Fp1 and Fp2 directly above you nasal bridge and about two finger from you Nasion.
If you want to do this more accurately, take your measuring tape again and measure 10% of the distance from your Nasion to your Inion. This will give you the correct location of Fpz, which is at the midpoint between Fp1 and Fp2.

Check alignment of T3 and T4

As a final check ensure that the holes marked T3 and T4 are just above your ears on each side
